The easiest and fastest way khổng lồ get to lớn Phu Quoc is by plane. The island’s own airport is served by several airlines directly. Accommodation in Phu Quoc – our hotel tip
In our opinion, the best place khổng lồ stay on Phu Quoc is at Long Beach or south of Duong Dong. That’s the most developed area & you have a wide choice of accommodation & restaurants. From Long Beach you can watch wonderful sunsets every evening.The hotels on Long Beach are often large complexes. A nice khách sạn that stands out here is the La Mer Resort. Although it’s not right on the sea, it offers a beautiful & well-maintained garden environment in which you will feel comfortable. Phu Quoc: Tours và tickets
1. Bai Truong (Long Beach)
Bai Truong is often referred lớn simply as Long Beach, which is not its official name. It’s called like that because it’s simply the longest beach of Phu Quoc. In the very south of the beach it is still very natural, but also very narrow & filled with pearl fishermen. Otherwise, the Long Beach has very fine sand và is great for swimming. Of course, this works best in one of the beach bars, such as the Rory’s.
2. Ghen tuông Dau Beach
The ghen Dau Beach is located on the northwestern tip of Phu Quoc in a village with the same name. There are however two beach sections there. A short, rather unspectacular before the actual village at the ghen Dau Cape and a gorgeous paradise beach right after the village.
Personally, we think the ganh Dau Beach after the village is the most beautiful beach of Phu Quoc. It is secluded & a little hidden behind some resorts.After the village of ghen Dau you have khổng lồ drive east on a dirt road. There you will find on the left side the Peppercorn Beach Resort. Here you can park your scooter và walk through the resort to the beach.

The beach is really a dream. There are many coconut trees, trắng fine sand and crystal clear water. Perfect for relaxing under the shade of the palm trees, swimming and eating delicious food, which the Peppercorn Beach Resort has to lớn offer.3. Ong Lang Beach
Ong Lang Beach is located a few kilometers north of the main town of Duong Dong on the west coast of Phu Quoc. With a scooter you can visit the beach in about 15 minutes from Duong Dong. The beach is very quiet, as not many visitors come here. Mostly only the guests from the adjoining resorts stay on the beach.The sand is very fine và the water is great for swimming. The only negative thing on Ong Lang Beach, however, is that there are not too many places in the shade. During a beach trip on Phu Quoc, Ong Lang Beach is definitely worth a visit. By the way, the northern part of the beach is also called Ganh Gio Beach.
4. Cua Can Beach
The Cua Can Beach is a still quite lonely and natural beach on the west coast of Phu Quoc. The nearly 2 kilometer long beach is slightly difficult lớn access và consists of two sections, which are divided by the Cua Can River.Unfortunately, there are not many shady spots on the beach. However, you can enter the fine sandy beach in the north, e.g. Through the resort Chez Carole. Here you will find real loneliness & peace.
5. Vung Bau Beach
Further down the coast, a scooter ride of 5-10 minutes from Cua Can Beach, lies the tranquil and natural part of Vung Bau Beach. A largely lonely beach with a secluded location.The sand is fine & the water is very clear and beautifully turquoise. In the low season, however, it is not that suitable for swimming, since strong currents can occur here. Otherwise, this part of the Vung Bau Beach is a true idyll và a few shady spots can also be found under the trees.
A little further north there are also a few resorts on the beach. Here it is not that lonely, but still not overcrowded. You can also visit the Vung Bau Resort, which is located directly on the beach (even if you are not a guest). There are cool drinks and something to lớn eat available, otherwise you will not find much of it on the beach.
6. Bai dẻo Beach
A little further behind the Vung Bau Beach you will find the Bai dai Beach. It is also located on the west coast of Phu Quoc & is a bit more difficult to lớn access as it is the beach of the huge Vinpearl Resort. The resort spans almost over the entire beach. Only the northern section is not yet built.Nevertheless, you will find a lot of peace at Bai dẻo Beach. The sand is very fine and the sea is good for swimming. The water is very shallow, which is why the beach is also suitable for children. You can also see the island of Hon Doi Moi (Turtle Island), which is a popular spot for snorkeling.7. Bai Thom Beach
Bai Thom Beach is located in the north of the island near the same-named village of Bai Thom. The beach is still very natural & a touristic infrastructure doesn’t really exist here yet. You can reach it only on a gravel road that leads through the village.From the beach you have a great view of Cambodia và you can enjoy the peace. For a pleasant swim, the beach is hardly suited. You can also visit the offshore island called Hon Mot Island, which is connected khổng lồ the mainland by a bridge.
8. Bai Sao Beach (Star Beach)
Bai Sao Beach, also known as Star Beach, is being advertised as one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. It is located on the southeast coast of Phu Quoc in a beautiful bay & is visited by many day trips, which then populate the local beach bars.The beach should be very clean, fine & white with wonderfully turquoise water. Unfortunately, we had to cảnh báo with disappointment that this time has probably already passed.During our visit, the beach was partly dirty & heaps of garbage were washed up. It was tidied up on the spot, but still the beach was far behind our expectations & recommendations. In addition, the waves were very strong, but perhaps this was also because of the low season.
Incidentally, you can also visit the Bai Sao Beach on a tour of the south of Phu Quoc.
9. Bai Khem Beach
A little further south than the Bai Sao Beach in the direction of the village An Thoi is the Bai Khem Beach located. Until 2014, this beach was closed to lớn the military, but is now open to the public. There are a few small local beach bars & virtually no visitors on site.Unfortunately, the beach was even more littered than the Bai Sao Beach and there was no one lớn clean up. If the local bars would clean up the garbage, then Bai Khem Beach could be a really nice place. It has some potential!
